Rhinocervs - Untitled (RH01)
A new label with two brand new, no frills, untitled tapes of Black Metal that cross pollinates old-school South American brutality with French atmosphere. This rare hybrid has failed before, with all of the Black Metal acts out there today it feels as if most just know how to do it mechanically while missing the target on originality, mood and content. This pair of untitled tapes hits all 4 while retaining a strong sense of minimalism and gangly technicality in wholly organic and original ways. The classically charged melodies are all ridiculously catchy contrasting the heavy and dark mood found through-out. Undying Glare seriously needs to go to turn down the volume on his line in. He rips the best stuff and it all sounds terrible compared to the tape. What a waste.
